🗞️ Colombia’s government and guerrilla group the National Liberation Army (ELN) signed the first agreement of their peace talks on Saturday: an accord which will establish the power of civil society to take part in ongoing peace negotiations.
The ELN, Colombia’s largest guerrilla group, has been in stop-start peace talks with President Gustavo Petro’s government since 2022 - part of the leader’s ‘Total Peace’ plan.
